HARRISBURG – Senator Scott Martin (R-Lancaster) issued the following statement today condemning recent acts of antisemitism and calls for violence against members of the Jewish faith:
“The rise in antisemitism and hate speech in recent weeks is deeply troubling, and it deserves to be roundly condemned by leaders throughout the country and around the world. This kind of harassment and incitement to violence against ethnic and religious groups – including the protest targeting Governor Shapiro last weekend – cannot be tolerated.
“To our Jewish friends and neighbors, please know that we stand with you against the forces of hate and evil, and we will not rest until these vile hostilities are replaced by a more welcoming environment that is rooted in religious tolerance and acceptance.”
