HARRISBURG – At the request of Senator Scott Martin (R-Lancaster), the Senate Majority Policy Committee will host a workshop discussion with southcentral Pennsylvania employees and employers about the best ways to rebuild the economy following the Governor’s COVID-19 shutdown.
“We need to open up our economy in a safe manner for customers, employees and employers so people can go back to work,” said Senator Martin. “During this workshop I look forward to hearing directly from those in our community who were asked to close their businesses on how they think it best to re-start and re-build our economy.”
“Providing for the safety and well-being of Pennsylvanians while also rebuilding the economy are not mutually exclusive goals,” said Majority Policy Committee chairman Senator David G. Argall (R-Schuylkill/Berks). “We need to safely get our economy back up and running again because people want to re-invest in their communities and provide for themselves and their families.”
The Senate Majority Policy Committee will conduct the workshop on Tuesday, June 30 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM.
